TROTT, Peggy Charlena Feathers, 84, of Auburn and formerly of Montgomery, passed away June 28, 2014. Her Funeral Service will be Wednesday, July 2nd at 11:00am at Southern Memorial with Dr. Karl Stegall officiating. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service. She was a member of Whitfield Memorial United Methodist Church. She attended school on a choir scholarship provided by family friends. Her passions were teaching Math and English, singing in a choir or with the "Merry Elders", cooking for her family, and most of all, doting on her husband and her grandchildren. Peggy's life was a testimony to the truth of her favorite hymn, "Great Is Thy Faithfulness". She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Marvin Eugene "Gene" Trott. Survivors include her children, Marvin Eugene Trott, Jr. (Debbie) of Montgomery, AL & Dorenda Trott White (Bill) of Opelika, AL; beloved grandchildren, Bobby Trott (Jennifer) of Montgomery, AL, Tommy Trott of Atlanta, GA, Marlee Trott of Birmingham, AL, Evan White (Hillary) of Lafayette, CO, Bradley White of Seattle, WA & Shealy White of Houston, TX; great-grandchildren, Barnes Trott, Emilyn Trott, & Harrison Trott, all of Montgomery, AL and Wells White of Lafayette, CO, and sister, Beryl Feathers Johnson of Columbia, SC (formerly of Johnson City, TN. The family expresses appreciation beyond measure to the caring staff of ministering angels at Camellia Place Assisted Living in Auburn, who walked through the Alzheimer's journey with us with loving, honoring service and compassion.
