LAWSON, FANNIE

LAWSON, Mrs. Fannie Moore (Madear), a resident of Montgomery, AL, passed away on Saturday, July 26, 2014. Funeral service will be held Saturday, August 2, 2014 at 11:00 am from Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, 2106 Mill Street, Montgomery, AL with Rev. Dr. Calvin McTier officiating. Interment will follow in Eastwood Memorial Gardens, 7500 Wares Ferry Road, Montgomery, AL with E. G. Cummings Memorial Funeral Home, directing. The body of Mrs. Lawson will lie in repose one hour prior to funeral services in the church. Mrs. Lawson was born to Will Moore, Sr. and Beatrice Roberts in Montgomery, AL. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Levert Lawson, Sr., her son, Clarence Williams, her sisters and brothers, Clifford Frazier, Effie Word, Doris Murrell, Johnny Moore, Clarence Moore, Willie James Moore, Hattie Sankey, Edward Moore, and Walter Moore. She leaves to cherish her fond memories her children, Levert Lawson, Jr., Evelyn Lawson Anderson, Charles E. Lawson, Sr. (Debra), Alvin Lawson (Sheila), and Donald Lawson; sisters and brothers, Aritha Scott, Evelyn Johnson, Charles Moore, Wilbert Moore, Will Moore, Jr., Joyce Garcia, and Amy Moore; grandchildren, LaTonya Walker (Brian), Andrea Gibbons, (Andre), Adrienne Ervin, Terry Gilchrist, Michael Gilchrist, Joi Chambers (Christopher), Charles E. Lawson, Jr., (Thomessia), Brian Lawson (Brooke), Chavette Hillard, Alyssa Caffey (Donnell Jr.), Alvin Lawson, Jr., Paul Harris, Kayla Lawson, and Kimberly Lawson; 10 great grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Bernice Murphy, Jessie Johnson, and Althea Lawson, and a host of other family members and friends. Special thanks to her grandson and caregiver, Terry Gilchrist, and devoted cousins Thelma and Robert Johnson. Additionally, the family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Jackson and Noland Hospitals, Gentiva Home Health, and Dr. John A. Jernigan.
