MELTON, BOBBY

MELTON, Deacon Bobby Lee, age 65, a resident of Montgomery, AL passed away on July 29, 2014 in a local hospital. Funeral service will be held Saturday, August 9, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. from North Court Street Missionary Baptist Church, 1900 Jackson Ferry Road, with Pastor Dr. Clifford Prevo, Sr. officiating. Interment will be held at Alabama Heritage Cemetery with E. G. Cummings Memorial Funeral Home directing. He leaves to cherish his memories a devoted wife, Doris Jean Tyus Melton; son, Rickey (Frixie) Melton; daughters, Le'Keshia Octavia (James) McElrath and Kimberly Renee' Melton; mother, Mrs. Fannie Melton Taylor; father like figure, Mr. Billy Glenn; sisters-in-law, Betty Tyus (Ronald) Rollins, Eugenia Tyus (Rev. Tony) Avery, Veronica Tyus (Leonard) Lynn, Thayer Haynes James and Adriene ( Michael) Butler; brothers-in-law, JC (Angelarell ) Haynes, Clavon Crosby, John Crosby and Tyrone Haynes; uncle, Charlie Melton; grandchildren, Kecia Woody, Demetria Spinks, Janequa Melton, Aja Melton, Jordon McElrath, Niyah McElrath, Rickey Melton, Rashad Melton, and Kalea Davis; four devoted and loving nieces, Brittany, Kiaya, Shamekia and ShaRhonda; two special cousins, Carrie (Rozell) Baker and Susie Melton; god sisters, brothers, and friends, Rev. Dr. Clifford (Diana) Prevo, Sr., JD and Inez Harris, David and Rebecca Harris, Rev. Lawerence (Theresa) Davis and family, Ruby (Freddie) Williams and family, Amelia Robinson, Annie Ruth Scott-Carter, Jacqueline Scott, Evangelist Penelope (James) Oliver, Linda Glenn, Bernice Ethridge, Nelson (Pauline) Rollins, Zestlan (Ronald) Ashley, James (Cheryl) Cummings, Jr., Jacqueline (Rev. Filbert) Martin, Mildred (Lonnie) Stoudmire, North Court Street Baptist Church family, and Rev. Sylvester (Veronica) Poole, Sr., and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. The body of Deacon Melton will lie in repose one hour prior to funeral service in the church.
