Jackie Lee Garrett, 63, of Prattville, Alabama passed away peacefully on Monday, October 1, 2012 at his home after a long struggle with heart disease.

At his request, there will be no service.

Jack was born December 16, 1948 to Melvin Garrett and Darlene Johnson. He graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in Montgomery, Alabama in 1968. He then joined the United States Army and served in the Vietnam War. He was married in 1973 to his first wife, Marilyn Kay Lumsden, and had two children, James and Victoria Garrett. Jack worked in the meat industry most of his life and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and watching Auburn Football.

Jack is survived by his second wife, Jayne Yarborough Garrett, Prattville, AL; his one son, James Lee (Christy ) Garrett, Montgomery, AL; his one daughter, Victoria Garrett (Derek) Gill, Panama City Beach, FL; His mother Darlene Skipper, Goshen, AL; His siblings Dave (Billie) Reeves, Bloomfield, IA, Richard (Mona) Reeves, Troy, AL, Frances Reeves, Goshen, AL, Tom (Sara) Reeves, City, State; Seven Grandchildren: Ciyeva Gillispie, Jada Wittington, Peyton Garrett, & Devin Garrett of Montgomery, AL, and Trent Garrett, Ethan Gill, and Nolin Gill of Panama City Beach, FL; and Several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Melvin Garrett and two step-fathers, Dick Reeves and Clyde Skipper.
