THELMA JONES Obituary
Jones, Mrs. Thelma Mae Parks a resident of Montgomery, AL. The Lord brought Sister Jones' earthly journey to an end and called her to rest the night of January 16, 2013. Funeral services will be Saturday, January 26, 2013 at 12:00 PM from New Libery Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Carter Hill Cemetery, Pike Road, AL. Her survivors include: three daughters, Gloria (Wayne) Watts, Gadsden, AL, Cassaundra (Mark) Franklin, Hoover, AL, Cynthia (Randall) Pringle, Lownesboro, AL; five sons, Robert L. Jones Jr., Kenneth Jones, Clifford Jones, Anthony K. Jones, all of Montgomery, AL and Robert (Traci) Peavy, Atlanta, GA; a very special, deeply loved, admired, and devoted son-in-law, Mark (Cassaundra) Franklin; eighteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren; one sister, Helen Smith; five brothers, Willie (Waylene) Parks, Sanford, FL, Samuel (Carolyn) Parks, Troy, AL, Frankie (Monika) Parks, Lawton, OK, Rayfield (Margaret) Parks, Montgomery, AL and Michael (Shirley Ann) Parks, Montgomery, AL; three sisters- in-law, Marian (Walter, deceased) Lewis, Beulah (Abraham) Gary, Barbara Ann (Ronald) Boyd; two brothers-in-law, Donald Hardy and Ozzie (Pop) Hardy; a loving niece and co-caregiver, Mikesha Parks; and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. In addition to her parents, Claude and Lizzie Mae Parks and two older brothers, Sister Jones was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Jones, Sr. and daughter Cynthia Denise Jones.
