Judy Ellen McBryde Cobb, age 60, resident of Montgomery, AL, passed away on Saturday, March 23, 2013. A loving wife and mother, Judy leaves to cherish her memory: a beloved husband of 35 years, David Brackin Cobb, sons, Sam Cobb (Joanie), Miramar Beach, FL, and Austin Cobb, Montgomery, grandson, Samuel Brackin Cobb III, granddaughter, Maddox Elizabeth Cobb, Miramar Beach, FL, mother-in-law, Joyce B. Cobb and brother-in-law, Doug Cobb, Montgomery, AL. She is predeceased by her parents, S.R. 'Mac' McBryde and Chrystel Russell McBryde. Judy was a graduate of Jefferson Davis High School, attended the University of Alabama and remained an avid Alabama fan. She retired after 25 years of service with the State of Alabama where she served as Director of Purchasing for the Mental Health Department. Mrs. Cobb was a member of Whitfield Methodist Church (Normandale United Methodist Church). Judy enjoyed spending time with her husband and sons fishing in the Gulf of Mexico. A devoted and compassionate friend to all, she also had a deep love for animals, particularly her miniature schnauzers. Visitation will be on Wednesday, March 27, 2013 from 5:30pm until 7:00pm at Leak Memory Chapel. Memorial services will be held on Thursday, March 28, 2013 at 12:00 noon at Leak Memory Chapel with Reverend Francis Turner presiding.
