Obituary Condolences

Mary Margaret Wishik, 90, of Montgomery, died Monday, June 24, 2013 at John Knox Manor. She was born, June 18, 1923, in Tell City, Indiana, the daughter of Martha and Elmer Huebschman and was later adopted by Edith and Harley Windhorst.

Mary was the wife of Dr. Julian L. Wishik, who practiced in Montgomery for over 50 years. The two met in Indiana, during WWII, while Dr. Wishik served in the Army Air Corps. The couple married March 3, 1943 and relocated to Montgomery, after leaving military service, in 1946. Mary assisted Dr. Wishik in the early years of his practice. She had a love for sports, animals and charity, and was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church.

Mary is survived by her children, LTC Jeff Wishik (Ret) and his wife Faye, Dr. Ginger Wishik and her husband Ron; and grandchildren, Cody and her husband Joey, Parker and Kelsey.

Visitation will be held at 12:00PM on Thursday, June 27, 2013 at Leak Memory Chapel, 945 Lincoln Road. Reverend Carey Elam will officiate a graveside service at Greenwood Cemetery at 1:00PM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to St. Paul Lutheran Church, 4475 Atlanta Highway, the , 9154 Eastchase Parkway, or the Humane Society of Montgomery, 1150 John Overton Drive.

The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Ms. Alice Walden for her care and friendship for almost 30 years.
