Donald Williams Obituary
Mr. Donald Carlton Williams, Pintlala, AL joined his Heavenly Father after battling

Alzheimer's on Friday, August, 2, 2013.Don graduated from Talladega HS, Talladega, AL.Don

received his BS degree from Alabama Polytechnic Institute (Auburn University) and his masters

degree from Florida State University. Don worked for the State of Alabama's Dept. of Human

Resources (Pensions & Security) as a Social Worker, County Director and a State Administrator

for over 38 years. Don was preceded in death by his loving wife of over 50 years Beverly Lambert

Williams, Pintlala, AL; his parents Roy & Aurie Williams, Talladega, AL; his brother David R.

(Rick) Williams, Pleasant Grove, AL; his father & mother-in-law Rev. B.A. & Pauline Lambert

Geneva, AL; brother-in-laws P. Lee Ashbury Montgomery, AL & Dr. O.D. (Buddy) Mitchum

Geneva, AL. Don is survived by two sons, "Duck" Williams (JoAnna), Guntersville, AL & Steve

Williams (Nicole), Montgomery, AL; one sister, Gayle (Lewey) Horn Linden, AL; sister-in-laws,

Sharon Lambert Mitchum Geneva, AL & Margot Lambert Ashbury Montgomery, AL & Mary

Jane Williams Pleasant Grove, AL; four grandchildren Beverly Pry Williams, Lauren Williams,

Guntersville, AL; Logan Williams (Daranee), Del Ray, FL; Jaime (Jonathan) Sallis Huntsville,

AL; numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and a host of friends. Don's relationship

with his Lord & Savior, Jesus Christ and Pintlala Baptist Church was steadfast, as he was the

church's only Deacon Emeritus. He was also the Church's Treasurer, a Sunday School Teacher

and a choir member and his commitment was strong and everlasting. He worked with the Pintlala

Elementary School's Tutoring program; was a volunteer w/the Medical Outreach Ministries; and

was a NASW(National Association of Social Workers) Social Work Pioneer. You were a great Dad,

Thanks for all your love. At 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, August 8, 2013, a Celebration Service will be

held at Pintlala Baptist Church, with Rev. Gary Burton officiating. The family will greet friends in

the sanctuary one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be

made to Pintlala Baptist Church 73 Federal Highway Hope Hull, AL 36043 and to Wesley Gardens

Memory Care Facility 1555 Taylor Rd. Montgomery, AL 36117. Duck & Steve would like to say thanks to the entire staff at Wesley Gardens for all the love and kindness shown Dad these last

three years.Thanks for taking such wonderful care of our father. With much love and

appreciation, thank you with all our hearts.
