NESBITT, Robert D., Jr., a resident of Montgomery, AL passed away on August 27, 2013 in a local hospital. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 3, 2013 at 12:00 noon from Dexter Avenue King Memorial Baptist Church with Pastor Cromwell Handy officiating. Interment will be held at Greenwood Cemetery with E. G. Cummings Memorial Funeral Home directing. Robert (Mickey) is survived by his loving, caring and devoted wife, Barbara Emerson Nesbitt; one daughter, Karen Foxwell, San Diego, CA; three very loyal, supportive and compassionate sons, Bobby, Augusta, GA, Michael and Neil Nesbitt, Montgomery, AL; sister, Jeanne Moore Smiley, Montgomery, AL; several grand children; niece, Angelisa (Alex) Kennedy, Montgomery, AL; nephews and grand nephews, James (Yavone), Adrian (Cynthia), and Cory Moore, Derrick Arrington, Montgomery, AL, Terrance Jackson, Nashville, TN, Warren Christopher (Tanesha) and Julian Patrick (McKayla) Emerson, Ann Arbor, MI; several cousins, Sandra Kaye Underwood, James T. (Cheryl) Cummings, Jacquelyn Cummings, Anita Hamilton, the Fred Briers Family, all of Montgomery, AL, Dr. Andrew Curtis Faire, El Paso, TX; mother-in-law, Lois Emerson; sister-in-law, Delois Stoker, Montgomery, AL; brothers-in-law, Reverend Willie Foster, Montgomery, AL and Henry Emerson Jr., Ann Arbor, MI; life long friends, the David C. Ross Jr. family; special friend and physician, Dr. John Jernigan, along with many other supportive family members and friends. Masonic and fraternal services will be held on Monday, September 2, 2013 at 6:00 p.m. from E. G. Cummings Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Family hour will be held one hour prior to funeral services in the church.
