George Edward Kalinowsky, 94, of Poland, Ohio formerly of Montgomery, AL, died Saturday, Aug. 30th. He was born May 9, 1919 in Republic, PA, son of the late George and Ada Haftman Kalinowsky. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lou Kalinowsky, son Stephen Kalinowsky, brother Henry Kalinowsky and sister Marie Baker.

Retired from the USAF and the U.S. Government, George was a faithful husband, a loving father and an amazing grandfather who touched many lives.
He is survived by wife, Dorothy Burns-Kalinowsky of Poland, OH; son, George Kalinowsky (Sarah) of California; daughters, Kathy Quinn of Helena, Susan McElvy (Steve) of Wetumpka and Nancy Slade (Daniel) of Birmingham, along with nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He is also survived by his dear sister, Betty Roth (Harry) of Bermuda Run, N.C.
Graveside services will be Saturday, Sept 7th 10:00 a.m. Greenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation or the Shriners Hospitals for Children.
