Wimberly, Sr., Mr. Elbert, a resident of Montgomery, AL entered into eternal rest, peacefully at home on January 31, 2014. A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 8, 2014 at 2:00 PM from Shiloh Missionary Baptist with Rev. J. D. McFarland, officiating. Elbert was preceded in death by one sister, Cora Bell Jackson and three brothers, Edward "Bubba Jack" Wimberly, Charles Wimberly and George Wimberly. He leaves to cherish his memories: his loving wife, Theresa Wimberly; his devoted children: Alicia Clary of Oakland, CA, Elberta "Nikki" Wimberly of Montgomery, AL, Jannaca Wimberly of Montgomery, AL, Elbert Wimberly, Jr. of Montgomery, AL and Lillijana Wimberly of Montgomery, AL; Siblings: Jessie (Barbara) Wimbley of Bloomingdale, MI, David (Annie) Jackson of Shorter, AL, Oblee (Lorene) Wimberly of Montgomery, AL, Henry (Annette) Tate of Montgomery, AL, Michael (Natalie) Wimbley of Concard, CA, Louise (Garry) Russell of Waterford, MI, Rosetta Brown, Algertha (Fred) Gaddis, Rhonda Wimbley, and Sharron (Karl) Thompson all of Montgomery, AL; Grandchildren: Caleb Hayes, Joshua Clary, Jakaylin Wimberly, Jaylen Norman, Burkauia Wimberly, Leah Morgan, Braydon Morgan, and Keiarrah Wimberly, all of Montgomery, AL; Great-Grandchild: Caidi J. Hayes, Atlanta, GA; Former Wife: Juliette Wimberly, Montgomery, AL; Mothers-in-law: Mrs. Lillie Mae Harris of Montevallo, AL and Mrs. Claudie Elmore of Montgomery, AL; Sisters-in-law: Linda F. Owens and Brenda G. Fields of Montevallo, AL; Connie (Timothy) Edwards of Alabaster, AL; Brothers-in-law: Major G. Harris, Jr. of Shreveport, LA, Donnie R. Harris of Montevallo, AL, Claude Elmore, Sr. of Tuscaloosa, AL, and Larry (Elaine) Elmore of Orlando, FL. Special Cousins: Bertha Mae Stephens and Delores Milner of Montgomery, AL.; and a host of loving and devoted nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He further leaves to cherish his memory many former co-workers, neighbors, Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church members, fraternity brothers, sorority sisters, classmates (high school and college) and numerous of students whose lives he touched.
