Pauline Hedrick Souder 93, of Ambler, went to be with her Lord on Friday, January 3, 2014. Born October 18, 1920, the eldest daughter of Rufus and Isabelle Hedrick of Quakertown, PA, Pauline was a graduate of Quakertown HS, and TempleUniversity. She was a resident of Ambler since 1955. Best known as Polly, she was a devoted mother and homemaker, as well as being a long time member of D.A,R; the P.E.O. sorority; and First Presbyterian Church of Ambler including the quilting group and women's circle there. Polly's other interests included sailing, quilting, sewing, fishing, travel, and genealogy. Polly is survived by her two daughters, Susan Long, wife of John, and Carol Ames, wife of Richard; and by her 7 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband of 55 years, John C. Souder. A Service of Celebration of Her Life was held at the First Presbyterian Church of Ambler on Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2014. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Ambler in her name. Arrangements by Shaeff-Myers Funeral Home
