Jacqualine Barr Jacqualine E. Barr (nee Yannucci), on Jan 18, age 98, of Rox, wife of the late Arthur R., mother of Art, sister of Rose DiPiero and the late Fanny, Anthony, and Angelo Yannucci. Jeanne Barth Jeanne Elizabeth Barth (nee May) age 79, of Lafayette Hill, formerly of Roxborough. Died at home on January 18, 2015. Wife of the late Bernard A. Barth Sr.; Mother of Karen Greco (Dennis), Jeanne Barth, Diane Barth (Jim) and Bernard A. Barth Jr. (Leah); Mom Mom of Dennis, Beth, A.J., Matthew and Marie; Sister of William May (Carol). Bell, Rev. Dr. James Renwick* - Flourtown  
Rev. Dr. James Bell Rev. Dr. James Renwick Bell 96 formerly of Flourtown and Auburn PA passed January 17th 2015. Dr. Bell was born in Freeland, PA February 12, 1918, the son of the late Rev. Dr. Howard James and Frances Howland Bell of Oreland PA. He was a 1936 graduate of the William Penn Charter School in Philadelphia and Lafayette College, Easton PA in 1940. He received his M. Div. degree at Princeton Theological Seminary in 1943. In 1979 he received a D. Min. degree and in 1981 an honorary D.D. was conferred upon him by the International Bible Institute and Seminary in Florida. In WWII he served as an Army Chaplain with the 86th Infantry Division and also as temporary Division Chaplain of the Philippine Scout 14th Infantry Division in the Philippines and the Reserves until his honorable discharge in 1953. He was a life time member of VFW Post 129 in Pottsville PA and also a member of the American Legion Post 0945. Dr. Bell was a charter member of the Pennsylvania Society of Religious Educators while serving 1947-1949 as Director of Religious Education at Carmel Presbyterian Church in Glenside, PA. From 1950 through 1980 he served as Pastor of the First Presbyterian Church in Springfield, Flourtown, PA and retired as Pastor Emeritus. After retirement he served as Pastoral Associate at Grace Presbyterian Church, Jenkintown, PA and Abington Presbyterian Church, Abington, PA and as Interim Pastor of the United Presbyterian Church in Pottsville, PA. He was also very active in Community affairs throughout his ministry. For thirty years he served as a charter trustee of The Friends of Old Pine Street, a Philadelphia corporation which has raised large amounts of money to rehabilitate a historical church of the American Revolution era and the neighborhood around it known as Society Hill. Dr. Bell was a member of the National Society of the Sons of the American Revolution, New Jersey Society. From 1966 to 1976 he served as a charter member of the Board of Directors of the Montgomery County Pennsylvania Homemaker Health Aids, which renders tremendous service to the community. Over the years he took in-hospital training at Presbyterian Hospital in Philadelphia in Advanced Pastoral Counseling and Abington Memorial Hospital Religion and Mental Health Training Services. He also completed the Drug Education and Training Center course at Pennsylvania Psychiatric Hospital Department of Behavioral Sciences. He was a chaplain on call at Chestnut Hill Hospital and Northwestern Psychiatric Institute. In 1976 he and the officers and members of the First Presbyterian Church in Flourtown were honored by their mission station in Georgju, Korea, having the Moon Wha Presbyterian Junior-Senior High School dedicated a new science building in his name. Twenty-four friends and church members were present with him at the dedication. Originally a Glenside Kiwanis Club member, he served as the organizing president of the Whitemarsh Valley Club. In retirement he became a Rotarian and served as president of the Pottsville Rotary Club 1990-1991. He was a Paul Harris Fellow with five sapphires. He was preceded in death by his wife Sarah J. Bell (nee Jones) and Natalie, his sons James R. Bell Jr., and Robert A. Bell, his granddaughter Tia Louise Bell, and Brother Dr. Howard J. Bell Jr. Surviving are his children Sandra R. Smyth, John M. Bell, Elizabeth A. Kessler, 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Relatives and Friends are invited to Dr. Bell's Memorial Service Saturday January 24th 11am at the First Presbyterian Church in Springfield, Flourtown. In lieu of flowers contributions in his name may be made to First Presbyterian Church in Springfield, 1710 Bethlehem Pike, Flourtown, PA 19031.

Conlen, Carole A. Shanley* - Bangor  
Carole Conlen Carole A. Shanley Conlen age 79, loving wife of 59 years to John J. Conlen, formerly of Bangor Maine, passed away peacefully on January 15, 2015 in the Seasons Hospice in Phoenixville Hospital PA with her loving family at her bedside. Born in Bangor Maine, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Mary (McCart) Shanley. In her life Carole was very active in the Performing Arts. She was of the Catholic Faith. In addition to her loving husband, Carole leaves behind her loving sons, Michael of Pennsburg PA, Mark of Coventry PA, and John of West Lawn, PA, Loving daughters Erin Conlen and Maureen Price of Elverson, a sister Charlene Rice of Lisbon Falls, Maine, 7 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren. A mass of Christian burial will take place on Monday January 19, 2015 at 4:00 P.M. in the Church of St. Benedict Catholic Church 2020 Chestnut Hill Road, Mohnton PA with Father Philip Rodgers officiating. Friends may call at the church on Monday from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M at the Church. Internment will be held at Ft. Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville PA.

Gallagher, Philip* - Philadelphia  
Philip Gallagher Philip Gallagher was born on April 3rd, 1959 in Philadelphia, PA. A beloved husband, father, and brother, he died at home on Saturday, January 3rd, 2015 in Brooklyn, NY. Philip was a talented artist. He graduated from the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts with a Bachelor of Arts degree and moved to New York City soon after to pursue his love of painting. Later, he began to work as an architectural sculptor and eventually became president and owner of the renowned Towne House Restorations. THR specialized in restoring historic buildings throughout the city: some of his proudest work includes landmarks such as the Waldorf Astoria, The Flatiron Building, The Lyric Theater, and The Ansonia Hotel. Philip was married in 1991 and lived in Greenpoint, Brooklyn with his family. He loved playing golf, eating a rare steak, skiing, and spending time with his children. He was always the life of the party and could make anyone laugh. Very loyal, generous, and devoted to his employees, friends and family, he will be missed by many. Philip is survived by his wife, Mary Katherine Albertson Gallagher, and his children, Willow, Finn, Dolan Wells, and Payton Gallagher. He is also survived by brothers Mark, Larry and Eugene Gallagher and sisters Dorothy P. Gallagher and Annamarie Graf.

Gardner, Albert J.* - Harleysville  
Albert Gardner Albert J. Gardner, age 90, of Harleysville, passed away on Sunday, January 18, 2015. He was the beloved husband of The late Barbara Gardner. He was a Veteran of World War II, serving in the United States Navy. Albert is survived by his daughter Jamie Perna and her husband Charles, grandchildren Stephanie and Nicole Perna. Herrmann, John A.* - Abington Twp.  
John Herrmann John A. (Jack) Herrmann, longtime resident of Abington Township died at Abington Hospital on January 6, 2015. Jack was the son of the late Molly Plunkett Herrmann and Al Herrmann. He is survived by his wife, Jane Ellis Herrmann, daughter Shawn Mayer (Kurt), Shannon Herrmann (Heath), Sharisma Herrmann and four granddaughters, Corey, Jamie and Taryn Mayer and Claudia Smoje. He is also survived by his brother Al Herrmann and sisters Marguerite Sexton (Tom) and Patricia Conroy (Paul), many nieces and nephews and his beloved dog, Maggie. Jack was born in Abington Hospital on July 26, 1939. He grew up in McKinley where he attended St. James School. After graduation from Abington High School in 1957, Jack joined the U.S. Army. During his three years of service he was stationed in Heidelberg, Germany and Woonsocket, Rhode Island. Upon discharge he served on the Abington Police Force and the Jenkintown Police Force. He also worked for many years for John Miller & Son, Inc. Waste Disposal & Recycling. Jack and his wife Jane lived on Keswick Ave. in Glenside for many years before moving to Willow Grove. A memorial service was held at William May Funeral Home in Glenside and, per Jack's request, his body was donated to the Humanity Gifts Registry for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania http://hgrpa.com / Donations in Jack's memory may be made to The Breathing Room Foundation, PO Box 287 Jenkintown, PA 19046 or the charity of choice.
