Logano, Robert Elliott* - Ambler
Robert Elliott “Bobby” Logano, 33, of Ambler, died unexpectedly on April 10, 2016. He was the husband of Shana Hector. Bobby was born in Hartford, CT on March 9, 1983 to Frank Logano (Andrea Wilson) and Susan Jo (Elliott) Adlam (George). Bobby was known to excel at all he attempted. This included sports at an early age. He played baseball on a Connecticut AAU team and participated in a National tournament in Oklahoma in 8th grade. He moved to PA with his family in 1998 and attended Upper Dublin High School. He played on the Upper Dublin football team, and led the Southeastern PA area in receptions at one point in his junior year. He was the captain of the team his senior year, was a natural leader and true team motivator. After graduation, Bobby attended Penn State University where he graduated in 2005 with a Bachelor’s degree in Finance. While not a part of the college team he did actually play in the Penn State Stadium, on a fall afternoon when the field gates happened to be open for the maintenance crew. While tossing a football with his roommate, they wandered onto the field and he actually scored a touchdown before being chased off by the field personnel. Bobby scored a lot of touchdowns in his life on and off the athletic fields. He was an intense analytical thinker with a logic aptitude many would hope for. He taught himself many software languages and financial models. After graduating from Penn State, Bobby worked at GMAC, Ecount and Citibank in a number of positions. His last 5 years were spent in London, England and Dublin, Ireland as VP of Product and Operations for Europe. During those 5 years he and his wife, Shana, took advantage of their proximity to Europe and visited over 15 countries. Sometimes their travel was planned, or on a whim, such as a New Year’s Eve jaunt to Berlin, Germany to ring in the New Year. During these trips Bobby learned to appreciate the diversity of European people. Along with his wife, and his parents, he is survived by his sister Katie Kline (Drew), brother Joseph, stepsister Miranda Adlam, stepbrothers George Adlam and Grant Adlam, and maternal grandparents Robert and Jacquelyn Elliott, and many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Relatives and friends are invited to his Memorial Service on Friday, April 22, 2016 at 1 PM at the Emil J. Ciavarelli Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, 951 E. Butler Pike, Ambler, PA 19002. A Visitation will be held Thursday evening from 6-8PM and Friday from 12-1 PM at the Funeral Home. Interment will be Private. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to “Upper Dublin High School Scholarship Fund” and mailed to the attention of The Bob Logano UD Student Athlete Fund, Frank Logano, 1569 Campus Dr., Maple Glen, PA 19002.
