Alice Urban

Alice Urban (nee Adams) of Lansdale, PA passed away peacefully, Friday, November 11, 2011, at Elm Terrace Gardens, with her family at her side. Born March 22, 1922 in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Florence (nee Laubach) Adams. Alice graduated Kensington Girls High School in January 1939. She was a member of Beohm's United Church of Christ, Blue Bell, PA. Alice was the first woman to serve on the consistory. She was also President of the Women's Guild. Alice had a very active social life. She volunteered at Norristown State Hospital. She was also a volunteer at Elm Terrace. Alice enjoyed sharing her culinary skills with family and friends. She love caring for her grandchildren and took joy in the continuous supply of entertainment her great grandchildren provided. She will truly be missed as an important part of our lives. Alice is survived by her dev oted family, Warren Palmer of Shinglehouse, PA, Ronald Palmer and his wife Linda of St. Peters, PA, Glenn Palmer and his wife Carol of Blue Bell, PA, and Diane Scott of Sellersville, PA. She was the loving grandmother of Maureen, Ronda, Kail, Glenn, Kimberly and Kelly, and the great grandmother of Hailey, Shaun, Jackson and Ryley. She is further survived by nephews, nieces, other relatives, and many friends. She is preceded in death by her beloved husbands Warren B. Palmer and Norman Urban, and her siblings Helen, John, Laura, Florence and Jean. Memorial service will be held for Alice on Saturday, December 17, 2011, respects 10 to 11 am, Service 11 am, Boehm's United Church of Christ, 571 Penllyn Blue Bell Pike, Blue Bell, PA 19422. In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Alice's name to Boehm's UCC Memorial Fund, address as above.
