Carl B. Carson

Carl B. Carson, 84, of 300 St. Mark Avenue, Lititz, Pa, passed away on Wednesday, August 14, 2013 at Luther Acres Retirement Community, Lititz, PA Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the husband of the late Ruth K. (Brown) Carson. He was the son of the late Carl B. Carson, Sr., and Hazel Carter Carson. A graduate of Temple University, he received his Master's Degree in Education. Carl retired from the Central Montgomery County Vo-Tech School in Norristown, PA, where he was a Graphics Art teacher, working for over 25 years. Previously, he was a teacher at the Coatesville Vo-Tech School. Early on, he was a printer for the Time Chronicle in Jenkintown, Pa Carl served with the United States Navy and served on the USS Lowry Destroyer DD770 during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Lititz Moravian Church and a Free and Accepted Mason with the Manheim Lodge #587. He is survived by three children, Brian S. Carson, Corpus Christi, Texas; Karin, wife of Steven Sassa, Harleysville, PA; Jennifer A., wife of Patrick Patterson, Frankford, Delaware; three sisters; Jean Flacco, Jenkintown, PA; Dorothy Marie Carson, Willow Grove, PA, and Elsie Conacher, Warrington, PA. Also surviving are 5 grandchildren; Amanda, Kaitlin, and Morgan, Brandon and Izaya. Two sisters, Judy Elsner and Ardella Daneker, and a brother, Scott Carson preceded him in death. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Carl's Life Celebration Funeral Service from the Spacht Funeral Home, 127 S. Broad Street, Lititz, PA, on Monday, August 19, 2013 at 10:30 A.M. with The Rev. Mark V. Breland officiating. Interment at God's Acres in the Lititz Moravian Cemetery. Friends may call at the Spacht Funeral Home on Monday from 9:30 A.M. until time of service.
