Earl H. Allebach

Earl "Bud" H. Allebach 88, of Souderton, PA died on Saturday, August 31, 2013 at his residence. He was born in 1925 in Souderton, PA to the late Charles & Jenny (Hunsicker) Allebach. Bud was the loving husband of Nancy L. (Leatherman) Allebach for 53 years. He graduated from Souderton High School, class of 1943. Bud enlisted into the US Army Air Corps in July 1943 during WWII. He served as an engineer on a B-24 Liberator where he flew 33 missions in the European Theater. Bud graduated from West Chester College where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Music Education. He later received his master's degree from Villanova University. Bud was a Music Teacher for over 35 years working at Tredyffrin Easttown Junior High School, Valley Forge Junior High School, Wissahickon High School and Gwynedd Mercy College. He was the music director at Trinity United Church of Christ for 35 years. Bud was a member and past-president of the Souderton Lyons Club. He was a member of the American Legion Post #234 in Souderton. Bud enjoyed vegetable gardening, cooking, singing, fishing, woodworking and traveling to Florida & Europe. He loved classical music and sang at many weddings in his younger years. Bud enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren. He was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ. In addition to his wife, Bud is survived by his four sons, David Allebach & wife, Ruth of Souderton, PA, Jamie Allebach & wife, Tammy of Harleysville, PA, Jon Allebach & wife, Sharleen Angelastro of Belmawr, NJ, Ward Allebach & wife, Lisa Steagall of Bradfordwoods, PA; a brother, Charles Allebach of Souderton, PA; two sisters, Peg Groff of Telford, PA, Flo Momme of Telford, PA and six grandchildren - Nathan, Tessa, Ashlyn, Daisy, Jacob and DJ. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Ken Allebach and a sister, Arlene "Sis" Schatz. A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 6, 2013 at 2:00 pm at Trinity United Church of Christ, 101 S. Main St., Telford, Pennsylvania 18969.
