J. Walter Yambor

J. Walter Yambor (85) of Frederick, PA, formerly of Glenside, PA and born in Philadelphia, PA to Alexander and Sophia (Tymulyak) passed from this world on Friday, November 30th, 2012. His three elder siblings Mary Sinkowski, Anne Warner, and William all predeceased him. He was the devoted husband of Nancy (Wentz) and previously of Shirley (Miller), both of whom predeceased him. His three sons Stephen Yambor (York Haven, PA), Jeffrey Yambor (Fairfax, VA) and Craig Yambor (Boyertown, PA) all survive him and were proud to have him as a role model. He is also survived by Stephen's wife Deborah, their two children Sasha and Nick, Craig's wife, Wendy, and their two children Marley and Luke. Walter retired after many years as a computer operator for the Defense Industrial Supply Center in Philadelphia and volunteered at the Ukrainian Educational and Cultural Center in Jenkintown, PA with pride in his heritage. He loved carpentry, crafts, all sorts of outdoor activities, and being a member of the Masonic brotherhood. Friends and family are invited to celebrate his life at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, 654 Bethlehem Pike, Flourtown, PA on Friday with a viewing at 10:00am, service at 11:00am, and internment to follow in the adjoining cemetery. The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations may be made in his name to: Ukrainian Educational and Cultural Center, 700 N. Cedar Rd, Jenkintown, PA 19046.
