James J. Hoffman

James J. Hoffman of Ambler, formerly of Warminster, Pa. passed away Wed. April 24,2013 at Abington Hospice at Warminster. He was 86 years old. Born in Phila., he was the son of the late Jacob and Evelyn (nee Marshal) Hoffman. Beloved husband of the late Elizabeth (nee Winkler), and Marie (nee Haufler) of Ambler. Loving father of Kenneth S. (Kate), Rick (Cheri), Sue Curtis (Rick), and the late James Joseph Hoffman, all of Warminster; Loving grandfather of seven and great grandfather of seven. Brother of the late Evelyn Benzenhafer. Also surviving is a step son Andrew (Laura) DiDio, three step grandchildren and seventeen step great grandchildren. Mr. Hoffman was a WW II Navy Veteran who served three years in the Pacific and Mediterranean. He was a parishioner at St. Anthony of Padua, a fourth degree member of the Knights Of Columbus, and formerly employed 40 years by Bell Telephone Co. Relatives and friends where received Sunday Eve. April 29, 2013 from 7:00-9:00 PM in The Decker Funeral Home, 216 York Rd., Warminster and Monday morning after 9:30 AM in St. Anthony of Padua Church, 259 Forest Ave., Ambler followed by his Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM. Interment Whitemarsh Memorial Park. In lieu of flower the family requests donations be made to Wounded Warrior Project, P. O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675, in memory of Mr. Hoffman.
