Leona Blaschke

Leona Blaschke Leona E. Jacobus Blaschke a resident of Dock Meadows, Hatfield. Formerly of Naples, FL and a longtime resident of Chalfont passed away on Monday, April 16, 2012 at her residence. She was 92. Leona was the wife of the late Carl A. Jacobus and was also preceded in death by her second husband Max Blaschke. Born in Doylestown, Leona was a daughter of the late Helen and Wilford Childs. Leona was a graduate of Doylestown High School, class of 1937. She was employed for several years with Hunter Spring in Lansdale as a cost accountant. Leona enjoyed playing the Stock Market and was an avid reader. She didn't have a lot of hobbies; however, she was always ready to participate if asked. She did enjoy traveling and loved her time in Florida. Leona is survived by 2 daughters, Gwen Greaser (Frank) and Carlyn Blaschke (Robert), 2 sons, Russell Jacobus (Linda) and David Jacobus (Donna) and a step daughter Carole Vineis (Ron). She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren, a brother William Childs and a sister Eleanor Carney. Leona was preceded in death by 2 brothers and 2 sisters. Friends and relatives are invited to Leona's funeral service, 11:00 am, Monday, April 23, 2012 at the Shelly Funeral Home, 1460 Easton Road, Warrington, where the family will receive friends after 10:00 am until the time of service.
