Phyllis Romig Kent

Phyllis Romig Kent, 85, of Yardley passed away at the St. Mary Medical Center, Langhorne, PA on February 21, 2012 surrounded by her loving family. Phyllis Jean Best was born in Reading, PA, the daughter of the late Lillian and Robert Best. She graduated from Reading High School in 1944 and from Kutztown State Teachers College. She married Robert Romig in 1947 who predeceased her in 2000. She was a second grade teacher in the Pittsburgh area. Phyllis loved volunteering, painting and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Phyllis is survived by her second husband, John Kent from Yardley, who she married in 2005. They enjoyed traveling, going to the theater and the symphony. Phyllis leaves her children, Lynda Romig Bond (Richard), David Romig (Barbara), William Romig (Ginger), Donald Romig (Maureen), Captain James Kent, USN, RET. (Dena) and Steven Kent (Becky). She is also survived by her grandchildren, Dr. Andrew Bond (Dr. Christine Liang), Matthew Bond, Peter Bond (Tamara Nisic), Brian Romig (Alicia), Devon Romig Brooks (Ben), Grant Romig, Jennifer Romig, Sarah Romig Farrell (Christopher), Laura Romig, Shannon Romig, John and Eleanor Kent, Kevin and Christopher McCormick,; and four great-grandchildren, Seamus Farrell, Boaz Brooks, Kaylee McCormick and Christopher McCormick, Jr.; and her loving sister, Carol Tolins, Burial Office and Requiem Eucharist will be held Saturday, February 25, 2012 at 11:00AM at the Church of the Incarnation, 1505 Makefield Road, Morrisville, PA. The Reverend Linda L. Kerr, Priest-in-Charge, will officiate. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Church. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be sent to the Phyllis R.
