Richard White Fineburg 73, Business Owner/Family Man Yardley, Pennsylvania and Palm City, Florida Richard White Fineburg business owner, loving husband, father, grandfather and brother passed peacefully surrounded by family Friday, February 8th at the Hospital of University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. Mr. Fineburg, born October 3, 1939, raised in Trenton, New Jersey and Morrisville, Pennsylvania graduated from Admiral Farragut Academy and Penn State University, where he was a member of Sigma Pi Fraternity. While in college he met the love of his life Emily Louise Maize. They married and settled near his family in Yardley, Pennsylvania and began to raise their three girls. For the past 25 years if not in Yardley they could be found in Palm City, Florida playing golf, enjoying the company of each other and great friends. As the second-generation Owner, Chairman and President of Consumers Oil Corporation, a multi-branded gasoline distributor and oil wholesaler and retailer in Trenton, New Jersey, Mr. Fineburg followed in his father's footsteps passionately developing the business over the past 51 years. He mentored his second daughter, Stacey Fineburg, before turning over the helm. His pride in having his daughter, a third-generation, running Consumers Oil was particularly poignant when the company celebrated its 75th Anniversary in 2009. Mr. Fineburg's generosity of spirit was evident throughout his entire life with family, friends and community. He served in the National Guard and was a member of Trenton Country Club, Young Presidents' Organization, World Presidents' Organization, Fuel Merchants Association and Rotary International where he took an active role in a cultural exchange program with a Rotary Club in Japan. He served on the Board of Directors of The Harbour Ridge Yacht & Country Club, First Fidelity Bank and The Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America. Son of the late Samuel Fineburg and Sarah White Fineburg, nephew of namesake Richard Patrick White, he has three surviving siblings Elizabeth White Fineburg, Samuel Kerwin Fineburg and Charlotte Fineburg Wolff. Mr. Fineburg's family was his other great passion in life. In addition to his wife of 51 years, Emily Maize Fineburg he is survived by daughters Sally Lynne Fineburg, Stacey Leigh Fineburg and her husband Wayde Cummings, Shana Fineburg Owen, DVM and her husband Donald Bradley Owen and his two rays of sunshine, his grandchildren Braedon Richard and Sheridan Lyndsay who reveled in calling him Dappy Do. Services will be held at 10:30 am Saturday, February 23rd at St. Andrews Episcopal Church, 47 Afton Avenue in Yardley, Pennsylvania.
