Sue Elizabeth Moore

Sue Elizabeth (nee Hogan) Moore, aged 72, of Wyndmoor, PA, passed away on November 21, 2013. Sue was born in Kirkwood, Missouri, in 1941. After graduating from Grinnell College, Sue took part in the Civil Rights March on Washington, DC, in 1963. This inspired her to join the Peace Corps where she served in Colombia and met her future husband and fellow volunteer, the late Peter Moore. After settling in the Philadelphia area (first Chestnut Hill and then Wyndmoor), Sue worked at Chestnut Hill Rehabilitation Hospital and St. Joseph's Villa. Sue is survived by her two sons John and Christopher Moore (Barbara Gorka and Scout), and her sister Nancy Daus (Jim). Sue was an avid traveler, visiting most of South America, Mexico, Panama, the Dominican Republic, Spain, Italy, England, Ireland, France, Greece, Austria, the Czech Republic, Turkey, Bermuda, Jamaica, and St. Maarten. Sue is remembered by all for her compassion, warmth, generosity, and positive outlook on life. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to Chestnut Hill Meals on Wheels (8765 Stenton Avenue, Wyndmoor, PA 19038).
