William E. McCormick

William E. McCormick, "Mac" age 69, of Horsham, died on March 15, 2012 at Abington Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of LeeAnne (Dumire) McCormick, they have been together for 23 years. He was born in the Germantown section of Philadelphia, PA on March 9, 1943 to the late William McCormick and Mary (Hoffman) Smith. He was a graduate of Ambler High School class of 1960. He was employed in Sales and was the owner of W.E. McCormick, Inc. for over 30 years. He served our country in the Army National Guard. Mac was an avid golfer, a game he thoroughly enjoyed. He golfed at many well known courses throughout the country, his highlight being at Augusta National Golf Club. Mac made many good friendships and developed relationships through the game of golf in his life. He also enjoyed traveling to many places with his family and friends, his favorite being the Caribbean and especially Puerto Rico. He was a member of Old York Road Country Club, and previously held memberships at Manufacturers and Cedarbrook Country Clubs. In addition to his wife LeeAnne, he is survived by 2 sons Michael McCormick (Carol) of Horsham, Ryan McCormick (Jennifer) of Manahawkin, NJ, 2 step-children Mark Allebach (Kristina) of Wilmington, NC, Julie Dees (Amy Ortwein) of Hatfield, PA, 6 grandsons Matthew, Jack, Brady, Colin, Evan, Brendan, 4 step-grandchildren Danielle, Luke, Bayonne, Annecy, and a brother Dennis Smith (Christina) of Virginia. Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation, a gathering of family and friends, on Thursday, March 22, 2012 from 9:30-11:30 AM at the Emil J. Ciavarelli Family Funeral Homes, 951 E. Butler Pike, Ambler. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mac's name to the Mattie N. Dixon Community Cupboard, 150 N.
