Wilmer M. Halteman

Wilmer M. Halteman 93, of Sellersville; formerly of Upper Salford Twp., PA died on Wednesday, April 28, 2010 at Rockhill Mennonite Community. He was the husband of the late Sara Pearl (Guntz) Halteman. Born in Upper Salford Twp., PA to the late Elmer and Mary (Moyer) Halteman. Wilmer was a farmer for 14 years in Upper Salford Twp. He worked as an electrician for 6 years for Wellington Godshall Electrical Service in Telford, PA and Moyer's Electric in Harleysville, PA until retiring. Wilmer was a volunteer for the Mennonite Historians of Eastern PA. He was an avid reader and loved nature, his family and the Bible. Wilmer was a life member of Salford Mennonite Church of Harleysville, PA where he served as a former Sunday school teacher. He is survived by: Lareta Halteman-Finger (Daughter) of Harrisonburg, VA, James Halteman (Son) & wife, Jane Bishop of Wheaton, IL, Mary Ann Conrad (Daughter) & husband, Daniel of Flagstaff, AZ, Elizabeth Joan Dintaman (Daughter) & husband, Stephen of Harrisonburg, VA, Jennifer Lynn Schrock (Daughter) & husband, Daniel of Goshen, IN, Bessie Halteman (Sister-In-Law) of Souderton, PA, Lizzie Bergey-Guntz (Sister-In-Law) of Collegeville, PA . 11 Grandchildren; 6 Great-Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Leroy Halteman and two sisters, Erma Guntz & Elizabeth Halteman. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 6, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at Salford Mennonite Church, 480 Groff's Mill Road, Harleysville, PA 19438 where friends may meet with the family from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM.
