Anne Paparone

Anne Paparone Anne Paparone, 82 of Ambler PA., died Saturday in the Abington Memorial Hospital Abington, PA. after a brief illness. Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Aurellio and Maria (nee DeLuca) Lasprogata. She was a graduate of West Catholic High School and Temple University with a degree in Elementary Education. She was an Elementary School Teacher, employed by Wissahickon School District for over 25 years prior to her retirement in 1991. Mrs. Paparone was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Church, Ambler where she was an avid bridge player and organizer of the bridge marathons. She was also a member of Plant Ambler and volunteer for the Special Olympics. She is the beloved wife of Frank B. Paparone and the devoted mother of Salvatore Paparone and his wife Patricia of Manlius, NY, Marianne Paparone of Ambler, Frank B. Paparone, Jr. and his wife Eileen of Hawthorn Woods, IL. She is the loving grandmother of six, and sister of Joseph Lasprogata of Philadelphia, PA, Helen DiJulio of Upper Darby, PA and the late Concetta "Connie" Paolucci. Relatives and Friends may call from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, July 13, 2011 at the Anton B. Urban Funeral Home, 1111 S. Bethlehem Pike, Ambler and Thursday, after 9:00 AM at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 259 Forest Ave., Ambler. A 10:00 AM Funeral Mass will be celebrated with Rev. Msgr. Stephen P. McHenry.
