Arleen Suzanne Johnson

Obituary Condolences

Arleen Suzanne Johnson, of Holland passed away at St. Mary Medical Center on December 25, 2012. She was 65. Arleen was born and raised in Newtown, attended Newtown Elementary, and graduated from Council Rock High School, class of 1965. During high school she was chosen to be captain of three girls sports teams, softball, hockey and basketball. After graduation she attended the Levittown Beauty Academy and for 18 years she was a hair stylist in the area. She loved country music, the Phillies, her cabin in the Pocono's and her two cats, Pumpkin and Samantha, but above all, her three sons. Arleen is the daughter of the late Edward R. Johnson and she is survived by her mother Audrie Johnson, her three sons, Michael and his wife Crystal of Phila., Brian and his wife Christina of Doylestown and Gregory of Newtown and three grandchildren, Chase, Madison and Andrew Shadle. She is also survived by her three sisters, Barbara Johnson of Woodleaf, NC, Teresa (Michael) Soyka of Woodleaf, NC, Sandra (John) Dorward of Malvern, PA and her brother Edward (Amy) Johnson of Langhorne and many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to Arleen's memorial service on Saturday, December 29, 2012 at 11 AM at the Newtown Presbyterian Church, Washington Ave. and Chancellor St., Newtown. Interment will follow in Newtown Cemetery under the direction of the Swartz/Givnish Funeral Home, Newtown, 215-968-3891.
