Darlene Greene Obituary
Darlene Greene, nee Christiansen 79, of Warminster, Pa passed away on October 30, 2012 at home after a brief illness. Born at home in 1932 in Napoli, NY she was the only child of Gerald and PaulineTowers. Darlene grew up in Little Valley, NY and although she was raised during the Depression and WWII had nothing but happy memories of her childhood. She married her high school sweetheart, Paul Christiansen after graduating from BuffaloState She taught second grade until they started their family. Together Paul and Darlene raised three daughters and created many wonderful memories. In 1978 Paul died and Darlene began her career as an expediter for Shell Containers. She worked there until her retirement in 1991. In 1990 Darlene married Walter Greene. Together they traveled the world. After Walt's death in 2010, Darlene moved to Ann's Choice where she enjoyed many activities, especially Tai Chi, square dancing, Bible studies and the FitnessCenter. Darlene, a lifelong committed Christian, was an active member of Supplee Presbyterian Church where she served as an Elder, Deacon, Bible study leader, President of the Women's Association and anywhere else she was needed. Darlene's happiest times were spent with her family celebrating holidays and birthdays or vacationing in the Outer Banks, Chautauqua Lake, camping or NY city. She was always ready for another travel adventure. Darlene is survived by her 3 daughters, Kay Glover, Lynn Angelina, and Gail Christiansen, sons-in-law Kevin Glover and Mark Janda, and grandchildren Paul, Patrick, Katelyn, and Kelsey Glover; Michael, Brian, Kim and Ashleigh Angelina; and Jennifer, Brittany, and Andrea Koch. Calling hours will be on Sunday, November 4th from 2:00 to 4:00PM at Shaeff-Myers Funeral Home, 145 Tennis Ave, Ambler. Funeral Services will be on Monday, November 5th at 2:30PM at Supplee Presbyterian Church, 855 Welsh Road, Maple Glen. In lieu of flowers donations may be given to the Mission Fund or the Deacons Fund at Supplee Presbyterian Church. Arrangements by Shaeff-Myers Funeral Home
