Obituary Condolences

Doris E. Black of Dresher passed away on November 7, 2012. She was 83. Doris was the beloved wife of the late Arnold Earl Black with whom she had shared 47 years of Marriage. She was born in Norristown, PA a daughter of the late Walter M. and Pearl B. Johnson. Doris graduated from Lansdale High School and was a member of Jarrettown United Methodist Church where she was active with Bible School, Sunday school, the Women's Auxiliary and Christmas Bazaar. She was a volunteer Brownie and Girl Scout Leader and Cub Scout Den Mother. Doris enjoyed crafts such as sewing and making Christmas ornaments, solving puzzles, dancing, playing cards and gardening. Doris is survived by three Children, Sherry Lynn Boyland and her husband William of Hatboro, Curtis Earl Black and Beth Ann Stanojev and her husband Nicholas of Marblehead, MA, six grandchildren W. Michael Boyland, Sean and Jenna Black, Ashley, Ryan and Megan Stanojev and a sister Jeannette Johnson of Sarasota, Florida. Doris was preceded in death by three siblings, Walter M. Johnson Jr., Donald Johnson and Patricia Johnson. Relatives and friends will be received by her family on Saturday, Nov. 17th after 10:00 a.m. in Jarrettown United Methodist Church, 1460 Limekiln Pike, Dresher, PA 19025 followed by her Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. Her interment will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials in Doris' memory may be made to her church mentioned above or to Keystone House Hospice, 8765 Stenton Avenue, Wyndmoor, PA 19038.
