Edward Webb III Edward Joseph Webb III, 79, of Springfield Township, Montgomery County, died on Sunday, November 25, at the Artman Lutheran Home in Ambler, Pennsylvania. He was the husband of Janet (nee Speier) Webb. Born in Philadelphia to Edward and Gertrude Webb, he was pre-deceased by his sister, Sallie Jean Norris. Known as Ed to some and Joe to others, he graduated from Germantown High School, and also received degrees from Penn State University and Drexel University. He was a member of the Beta Theta Pi fraternity at Penn State. He was employed at Smith Kline and French (Glaxo SmithKline) for many years, and then worked as a consultant in the pharmaceutical industry until his retirement. Ed/Joe was an avid lifelong golfer and student of the game He also enjoyed watching the Phillies and Eagles and loved attending sporting events to cheer for his grandsons. His passion for playing the piano was enjoyed by all. In addition to his wife Janet, he is survived by daughters Cathy Webb of Philadelphia, and Barbara Webb Folger and her husband, Stephen Folger of Macungie, Pennsylvania. He is also survived by two grandchildren, Douglas Folger, currently serving in the U.S. Army in Afghanistan, and Bradley Folger also of Macungie. A calling hour for friends and family will be held at Craft Funeral Home of Erdenheim, 814 Bethlehem Pike Erdenheim Pennsylvania, on Thursday November 29th from 6-8pm.
