Josephine Laboissonniere Josephine G. Laboissonniere, 94, passed away on Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at Brandywine Assisted Living in Shrewsbury. She has lived in Shrewsbury all her life. Josephine was a graduate of Red Bank Catholic High School in 1936 and Drakes Business College in 1938. She was previously employed as a Procurement Clerk at Fort Monmouth until marriage. She was a member of the Shrewsbury Senior Homesteaders, the Bowling League, and the Schussboomers Ski Club for over 30 years. She skied throughout the N.E states, Canada and Switzerland. She was an avid Mets fan. Josephine loved to travel with her husband Gene, with their van they went cross county, Florida and also visited Italy, Spain, and Jerusalem. Josephine was a resident of Brandywine Assisted Living since July 2007. A special thanks to the nurses, care givers, and friends she made there. She loved all the activities, especially playing bingo. She is predeceased by her husband Eugene W. Laboissonniere; brother Pasqual Tomaino and sister Mary P. Tomaino. Surviving are her three daughters, Mary Jean and her husband Alan Stark of PA; Roberta and her husband John Fragale of Bayville; and Eugenia Laboissonniere of Galloway Township; her brother Alphonse Tomaino of Red Bank; her grandchildren, Daniel and Jonathan Stark, and Jennifer and Steve Fragale. She is also survived by two nephews, one niece and a few cousins. A visitation was held at the John E. Day Funeral Home on Friday, October 19, 2012 from 4 to 8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Anthony of Padua RC Church on Saturday, October 20, 2012 at 9 AM. Interment followed at Shrewsbury Presbyterian Cemetery.
