Obituary Condolences

Margaret Elizabeth (Koroncai) Pedano died March 3, 2012 at Abington Hospital. She was the beloved wife of almost forty years to the late James Vernon Pedano. She is survived by her daughter Margaret Cutter, husband Steve; and her son Charles Maurer, wife Diane, four grandson, Jason Cutter wife Tracey, Chris Cutter, Glen Maurer, Michael Maurer wife Judith, six great grandchildren, Tyler, Paige, Nicholas, Julia, Yonatan, Eliana. Margaret was the youngest of six children born to John and Helen (Bene) Koroncai, in Manayunk on July 24, 1923. She was preceded in death by her brother John, sisters, Rose, Helen, Mary, Julia. She graduated from Roxborough High School in 1941. She worked at mainly two companies as a head bookkeeper, Boradman Industries and the National Molasses Company for over twenty years at each place. She was a member at the United Methodist Church in Willow Grove. She was active and established the Doiers at the church for many years with her husband Jim. She was also a leader in the Eastern Star and many related organizations for over thirty years. She loved to dance and had always desired to become a hairdresser and have a family. She traveled and spent many summers at the Ladore Lodge in the Poconos. Her and her husband hosted many conventions for the Masonic Order. The memorial service will be held at the Southampton Estates at 238 Street Rd., Auditorium on Monday, March 12, 2012 For those desiring contributions can be made to the Good Samaritan fund at the Southampton Estates, in her memory in lieu of flowers.
