Margaret Judd Margaret "Peggy" Jean (Fray) Judd, of Doylestown, passed away on Monday, May 14, 2012. The daughter of the late David and Hazel Fray, she was 80 years old. Peggy and Fredric Judd married after meeting in college, and during their 45 year marriage raised five children. They lived in Ohio before moving to Dresher, PA in 1967 and then to Fort Washington, PA. When they retired, Peggy and Fred spent their winters in Tucson, AZ where they hosted family and friends for many years. Peggy lived at Pine Run Community in Doylestown, PA for the past thirteen years. After graduating from Mansfield State Teachers' College in Pennsylvania, Peggy earned her graduate degree in education from Arcadia University. She was an award winning elementary school teacher for 25 years first in Ohio and then in the Upper Dublin School District in Pennsylvania , and was an avid reader, cook, and traveler. Peggy and Fred raised their children at Jarrettown United Methodist Church and later Peggy was an active parishioner of Chalfont United Methodist Church, volunteering with the UMW. She was also an energetic volunteer at Pine Run, serving on its Villager Board for many years. Most notably, Peggy served as president of Pine Run's Parvee Foundation, a nonprofit charitable organization, for the past eight years. She selflessly shared her strength, courage, tireless energy, and boundless love with her family and friends. Peggy passionately loved her children and grandchildren, contributing greatly to their lives; she will be fondly remembered and dearly missed. Peggy was predeceased by her husband Fredric, her daughter Leslie, and her brothers William and David Fray. Peggy was a devoted mother of Dr. Ellen Faulkner and her husband Randy of Chalfont, PA, Martha Westenberger and her husband Micky of Boonton, NJ; Keith Judd and his wife Cindy of Perkasie, PA; and Ronald Judd and his wife Jacky of Plymouth Meeting, PA. She was a special aunt to Carolyn Fray of Fredricksburg, VA, a loving grandmother of Laura, Chris, Judd, Micky, Tory, Scott, Sam, and Alison, a cherished sister of Joan Cross, George Fray, and Keith Fray, a close sister-in-law of Ruth Ritter, and an aunt to many nieces and nephews. Peggy will also be missed by her special friend Ben Rapp of Pine Run Community and her countless other friends who she loved and who cherished her. On Saturday May 26th, 2012 family will welcome guests at 10AM with an 11AM memorial service to follow at Chalfont United Methodist Church, 11 Meadowbrook Lane, Chalfont, PA 18914. In lieu of flowers, donations in Peggy's memory can be made to: Parvee Foundation, 777 Ferry Road, Doylestown, PA 18901 or to the Chalfont United Methodist Church.
