Norris Bannon Norris C. Bannon, 86, of Sellersville, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, November 26, 2012 in the Souderton Mennonite Homes, Franconia Twp. He and his beloved wife Hannah (Benner) Bannon would have celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary in January. Born in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late Lucil (Van Sinderen) and Ernest Bannon, Sr. Mr. Bannon was the owner/operator of the Harleysville Feed Mill from 1958 until selling the business in 1981. He was then employed at the Farm Bureau in Souderton until finally retiring at the age of 80. He enjoyed farming and gardening, and tending to his "truck patch" behind the feed mill. Mr. Bannon was a member of the Rockhill Mennonite Church in Telford where he assisted in the construction and renovation of the church building. He also served as a volunteer with Mennonite Disaster Service in many areas throughout the U.S. In his free time, he enjoyed doing needlepoint and camping with the Campliter's. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Pamela Baker and her husband Robert of Telford, three sons: Walter Bannon and his wife Rose of Perkasie, twin sons: Kevin Bannon and his wife Jan of Quakertown, and Keith Bannon and his wife Theresa of Hatfield, and twelve grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Kevin Marc Bannon who died in 2011, and twelve brothers and sisters. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, December 3, 2012 at 11 AM in the Summit View Auditorium of the Souderton Mennonite Homes, 207 W. Summit St., Souderton. Interment will follow in the Rockhill Mennonite Cemetery, Telford. Family will receive friends from 9-11 AM in the Fellowship Room prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the Living Branches Foundation, 207 W.
