Obituary Condolences

Patricia (Miles) Hoelzle, 80, of Harleysville, passed away on Thanksgiving Day, November 24, 2011 at Grand View Hospital, surrounded by her children. She was the wife of the late Ralph P. Hoelzle, who passed away in 2009. Born May 18, 1931 in Kellogg, ID, she was a daughter of the late Forrest Calvert Miles and Annie Gretchen (Vogel) Miles. She was a 1949 graduate of Kellogg High School, and a 1952 graduate of St. Luke's School of Nursing in Spokane, WA. Mrs. Hoelzle was a devoted employee of Montgomery Hospital in Norristown as a registered nurse and nurse epidemiologist for many years. Pat's greatest joy in life was her family. She loved them all dearly and cherished time spent with each one of them, especially at Christmas which held a special place in her heart. Surviving are 5 children, Steven Hoelzle and his wife Anita of Souderton, and their sons Robert, Steven and Derek; Nancy Shore and her husband Howard of Souderton, and their daughters Christie and Danielle; Barbara Barndt and her husband Donald of Pennsburg, and their daughters Allison, Carolyn, Lauren, and Kaitlyn; Diane Stout and her husband Garry of Perkasie, and their children Ryan, Courtney, and Zachary; and Elaine Ruth and her husband Dan of Hatfield, and their son Eric; 4 great grandchildren, Madison, Devin, Eva, and Emory; and a brother, Richard Miles of Klamath Falls, OR. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Ruby Caddy and Georgina Hickey. Friends and family are invited to call 9-11AM on Saturday, December 3, at the Williams-Bergey-Koffel Funeral Home, Inc., 667 Harleysville Pike, Telford (Franconia Twp.), with the funeral service beginning at 11AM. Burial will follow at Christ Lutheran Church Cemetery in Harleysville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her memory to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
