Richard H. Barnhart Richard H. Barnhart of Hatboro died May 2, 1012, at his home. He was 90. Born Sept. 28, 1921, in Warren, Pa., he was the husband for 51 years of the late Virginia Barnhart, who died in 1997. He was the son of the late Donald and Sara (Healey) Barnhart. Mr. Barnhart moved to the Hatboro area in 1950. He was employed as an electrical engineer at the Naval Air Development Center at Johnsville Naval Air Station for 30 years, retiring in the 1980s. Mr. Barnhart loved to bowl and golf. He was an Egyptologist and could read and write hieroglyphics. He created and fired a ceramic replica of the Graeme House in Horhsam for a fundraiser and enjoyed working with stained glass. He is survived by a son, Rodney Barnhart (Diana) of Wyncote; a daughter, Amy Hollowell of Phoenixville; a granddaughter, Emily Barnhart of Chicago, Ill.; a sister, Judi Wilson of Warren, Pa.; and a brother in California. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. May 9 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 120 N. Easton Road, Glenside, PA 19038. Friends and relatives may call Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the church. Interment will be in Whitemarsh Memorial Park, Prospectville. Memorial contributions in his name may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, c/o Music Program, at the above address. Arrangements were made by the John R. Freed Funeral Home, Glenside.
