Obituary Condolences

Shirley M. Querner Shirley M. Querner of Doylestown, died on Saturday, October 29 2011 at Pine Run Health Care Center. She was 86. Shirley was the wife of the late Edward J. Querner who died in 2010. Born in Dallas, Texas, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Alice Untervinger Rusch. Mrs. Querner lived most of her life in Upper Dublin. Shirley was a WW II Marine Corp Veteran and a 1950 graduate of Ithaca College, having earned a B.S. in Physical Education. She was a parishioner of St. Anthony of Padua Parish in Ambler for 53 years. Shirley was an avid competitive tennis player and enjoyed reading, sewing, crocheting and playing Scrabble (and usually winning) with her children. She also enjoyed volunteering and spending time with her grandchildren and her pets. Shirley was the loving mother and mother-in-law of Jim and Beth Querner; Janet Querner and Harv Martens; Karin and Bob Isett and Steve and Jenny Querner, as well as the loving grandmother of 9 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Carol Kennedy; 1 nephew and 7 nieces. She was preceded in death by a sister, Gloria Rusch. A private memorial service and interment will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2011.
