Jacob Moyer Jacob W. Moyer "Jake", 95 formerly of Harleysville, passed away Saturday, July 9, 2011 at his residence in Trooper. He was the beloved husband of the late Arlene M. (Fox). Born June 6, 1916, in Harleysville, he was the son of the late Jacob M. Moyer and Flora A. Alderfer. He was a graduate of the Lansdale Business School. Mr. Moyer was a long time member of The Plymouth Meeting E.C. Church having served as Lay Delegate to it's annual conference for 12 years from 1984-1995. He and his father owned & operated a retail market route in Norristown and Bridgeport for 36 years. He was employed in the bakery business for many years, driving routes and then working sales. He retired from the former Bakemeister in Norristown in 1991 at the age of 85. He loved animals, cars and dining out. He is survived by his grandchildren Michael J. Mercado of Chesapeake, VA, Vicki Transue and her husband Ronald of Trooper, Donna M. Brooks and her husband Matthew of Gates, NC, and Angina D. Driver of Warren, RI, his great grandchildren Mellisa L. Rodemich, Shayna R. Brooks, Jordan M. Brooks Wayne D. Driver and Derek J. Transue. In addition to his wife he was predeceased by his daughter Donna Lee Boynton, his siblings Carrie A. Moyer, S. Marie Bean, L. Mae Swartley and his grandson Floyd Walker, III. Relatives and friends are invited to his funeral service at 11 am on Monday July 18, 2011 at the Salford Mennonite Church, 480 Groff's Mill Rd., Harleysville, PA 19438. Friends may call for the viewing on Sunday July 17, 2011 from 3-4:30 PM at the Williams-Bergey-Koffel Funeral Home, Inc. 667 Harleysville Pike, Telford, PA 18969 and again on Monday at the church from 10:30-11 AM. Interment will be in the adjoining church cemetery. In Lieu of flowers contributions may be made in his memory to the Plymouth Meeting E.C Church, 42 E.
