Obituary Condolences

Albert Saddel Albert J. Saddel, 86, of Hatboro, passed away October 9, 2012 at Abington Memorial Hospital. He is survived by his beloved wife, Ethel (McMordie) Saddel. They would have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary October 11, 2012. Born March 19, 1926 in Philadelphia, Albert was a son of the late Charles A. and Caroline T. (Dempsey) Saddel. Albert was a dedicated member of Calvary United Methodist Church in Ambler for over fifty years and sang in the church choir. He was an avid tennis player and also played ping pong. Mr. Saddel loved spending time in his garden and always looked forward to his trips to Florida. He will be missed. In addition to his wife, Albert is survived by three children, James B. Saddel of Woodbridge, NJ, John A. Saddel and his wife, Beth, of Souderton, and Janet L. Saddel of Warrington; four grandchildren, Jennifer Gaitanopoulos and her husband, Jason, John M., Jill, and Kimberly Saddel; and three beloved great-grandchildren, Max, Troy, and Josh Gaitanopoulos. He was preceded in death by his sister, Dorothy Mammino, and brother, Charles A. Saddel. A celebration of Albert's life will be held 2 PM Saturday, October 20, 2012 at Calvary United Methodist Church, 16 Park Avenue, Ambler, PA 19002, where friends may greet the family after 1 PM. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Albert's name to Calvary United Methodist Church, address above. Arrangements are by Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, Lansdale.
