Eileen Frances (Mullahy) White Eileen F. (Mullahy) White 52, of Beach Lake PA, and formerly of Ambler, passed away unexpectedly at home on Sunday December 23, 2012. She was the late daughter of Thomas F. Mullahy, deceased, and Lena (Zaffarano) Mullahy of Ambler. She was a loving and devoted wife of 19 years to Joseph E. White of Beach Lake, PA, and mother to Joseph Alexander White and John Michael White. Eileen attended St. Anthony's School and graduated from Archbishop Kennedy High School, Conshohocken, in 1978. She attended Montgomery County Community College, where she was an editor of the student newspaper, The Montgazette. She graduated from Temple University with a degree in journalism. After graduation, she was a contributing reporter for Montgomery Newspapers and was editor of STAT, a regional nurse recruitment newspaper. Eileen was devoted to her family, and was particularly dedicated to caring for her severely disabled son, John Michael, 13, who has required around-the-clock care since birth. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist parish and attended St. Bernard's Church in Beach Lake, PA. She had a special devotion to St. Padre Pio. Eileen shared her love of life as an organ donor through the Gift of Life Program. Eileen is survived by her husband Joseph E. White, her sons, Joseph and John White of Beach Lake; her mother, Lena (Zaffarano) Mullahy of Ambler; sisters Maria (Mullahy) Yerger, wife of David, Lititz, Ann (Mullahy) Reid, wife of David, Pequea; brothers Michael Mullahy, husband of Belinda, Royersford, and Thomas Mullahy, husband of Joan, Tacoma, WA. Visitation at 10 AM, followed by a Memorial Mass at 11 AM to celebrate Eileen's life, will be held on Saturday, January 26 at St. Anthony of Padua Church, Ambler PA.
