Obituary Condolences

Robert H. Bubeck 82, passed away April 3, 2013 at his home in Hobe Sound, FL. Born September 28, 1930 in Roslyn, PA, he was the only child of Henry and Elizabeth (nee Mothersbaugh) Bubeck. Bob graduated from Abington High School in 1948. After high school he signed a professional baseball contract with the Philadelphia Athletics. He continued his education and received his Bachelor's degree from Temple University in 1952. Following graduation he married Annette Laube on June14, 1952. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict era and was stationed in Germany. Upon returning home from the military, Bob began teaching a Conshohocken School District. After one year, he moved to the Upper Moreland School District and taught sixth grade. His career evolved in the school system as teacher and administrator. He was a high school PE teacher, baseball coach and later became the high school athletic director. Next he became a guidance counselor, moving on to become a Junior High School principal and Senior High School Principal, the position he held at the time of retirement. During his educational career he also earned a Masters degree from Temple University. Bob had been active in his community as a member of the Kiwanis Club of Glenside, PA and Rotary Club of Willow Grove, PA. After retirement, he and his wife moved spending time in Ocean City, NJ and Hobe Sound, FL. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Hobe Sound. Bob's world was his family. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 60 years, Annette; children Robert Bubeck and wife, Donna of Tequesta, FL; Sally A. Klemm and husband, Chris of Piscataway, NJ. five grandchildren, Wesley Bubeck; Jacquelyn Bocheneck and husband, Dave; Lindsay Snyder and husband, Cortlon; Lauren Bubeck and Bailey Klemm; two great grandchildren, Ave and Tucker Bochenek; and his dog, Suzi. Memorial Contributions in Bob's memory may be made to Ocean City Humane Society, 1 Shelter Road, Ocean City, NJ 08226. SERVICES: Memorial Services will be held 1 PM, Saturday, April 27, 2013 at St. John Lutheran Church, 1001 Central Avenue, Ocean City, NJ . Arrangements are under the direction of Forest Hills Funeral Homes Young and Prill Chapel in Stuart. A guest registry may be signed at www.youngandprill.com.
