TREMBLAY, Gilles Dr.
1928 - 2012
Dr. Gilles Tremblay, McGill University Emeritus professor, passed away suddenly on September 30th in Paris. He is survived by his loving wife Marie-Thérèse, his children Fabrice, Vincent and Nathalie (as well as Hélène Vien, the mother of Vincent and Nathalie), his four grandchildren, and his nephews and nieces. His students and colleagues at the Université de Montréal, the Royal Victoria Hospital and the Jewish General Hospital remember him as a very dedicated pathologist, teacher and cancer researcher until he was 80 years old. The family will receive friends on Friday, October 19th from 6 p.m.-9 p.m. at the funeral parlor Memoria Alfred Dallaire (1111 av. Laurier west, Outremont). A funeral mass will be held on Saturday the 20th, at 11a.m. at St-Germain d'Outremont (Côte Ste-Catherine and Vincent-d'Indy). The family would appreciate that remembrance gifts be made to Le Fonds commémoratif Pierre-Masson , which is used for training in pathology at the Université de Montréal, a fund that Dr. Tremblay helped establish.
