SELBY, Myrtle (Nee Stowe)
Myrtle Ellen Irene Stowe Selby passed away peacefully in Knowlton House on June 20, 2013. Myrtle was born on August 2, 1915 to Leon and Eva Stowe. She was one of ten children who are all deceased. She had many friends and enjoyed life to the fullest. She played many a game of golf, curling and crosscountry sking up until she was ninety. She had a passion for playing cards, cooking, sewing and knitting. She was a member of The United Church of Canada, The United Church Womens Group, American Legion and BMP Hospital Auxillary. Myrtle is survived by her three children, Corinne (William) Simonds, Celand (Suzanne) Selby and Thomas (Debbie) Selby. She leaves to mourn nine grandchidren, Kurt (Anne) Hall, Kelly Hall, Shana (Douglas) Brown, Kirstin Simonds, Shellie Simonds, Jodie Selby, Mark (Taraneh) Selby, Julie Drapeau-Crevier and François Crevier. Myrtle also leaves ten great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Rowland Selby and a daughter Margaret (Bunny) Moore. We would like to express our thank you for all the care given at Knowlton House and Knowlbanks. Family and friends will be welcomed at the United Church in Dunham, QC on Saturday July 20th, 2013, from 1pm to 2pm, followed by the celebration of her life.
