CAMPEAU, Sheila Mary (Finn)
May 8, 1924 - February 6, 2013
Passed away in her 89th year after a long and valiant battle with C.O.P.D. Born in Carshalton, England, lived in Croyden, England until 1945 when she immigrated to Canada on the first un-escorted ship at the end of WWII, to marry her love Denis Campeau (deceased May 1999), a young Canadian soldier who was stationed in England. Much loved mother of Grant (Adele), Laurelie, Valli-Marie, Lance (Sabine) & Justin (Jane). She also leaves behind nine grandchildren, Joshua, Matthew, Sarah, Lance, Darius, Alyssa, Winston, Amanda & Montgomery as well as seven great- grandchildren, dedicated Goddaughter, Charlotte Birmingham, devoted friend Maureen Pidgeon along with other friends and relatives. She had a wonderful wit and sense of humour; her adventurous spirit allowed her to travel extensively, creative and artistic, accomplished seamstress and knitter, brilliant homemaker and excellent cook, and always there to lend an ear and help us through any difficult times....she was our strength and will be sorely missed by all who knew her. Nite-nite, God Bless, sleep well Mum. Graveside service to be held at the Field on Honour, Pointe Claire at 11:15 a.m. Saturday, February 16th, in back of Lakeview Cemetery on Donegani St. (east of St. Charles) Memorial mass to be announced later. Reception to follow at Sarto Desnoyers Community Centre, 1335 Lakeshore Dr., Dorval, P.Q., between 1230 -1500. In Lieu of flowers, donations to The Canadian Lung Association would be appreciated.
