Wayne Frank Macnab passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones on December 21, 2012 after a prolonged battle with cancer. Wayne's positive outlook and bravery throughout his illness was inspirational, and he will be remembered always as a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and brother-in- law. He remains forever in the hearts of his wife and best friend Joan, his much-loved sons Keith and Scott (Robin), his brother Ross (Sherry) and their children (Carol, Sandy, Bruce), and his adored grandchildren, Jackson and Mackenna, who will always remember their cherished "Grumpy". Joan would also like to express her heartfelt appreciation to her family for their tremendous support throughout this journey: Robert (Linda), and their children (Derek, Johanna, Luke), John (Diane) and their children (Craig, Harrison, Alison, Jessica, Ken, Mackenzie), and Sheelagh and her children (Karen, Keith, Kevin, Kim). Wayne's sense of humour and his youthful approach to life are indelible reminders to his friends and family that there is always a light side and a rainbow. He had the gift of being able to turn a fishing trip into an education, a walk in the park into an exploration, and a garage-sailing morning into a memorable adventure. There will be a celebration of Wayne's life in the months to come. In lieu of flowers, any donations made to the following would be sincerely appreciated: The West Island Palliative Care Unit, Lakeshore General Hospital Oncology Department, and/or NOVA.
