1929 - 2013
Passed away, peacefully, on May 23 at Le Vivalis Residence, Pointe Claire. Predeceased by her husband, John Zoltan Roman, and her parents, Frank and Ada Muriel Betts. Fondly remembered by her cousin, Roberta Hall (Herbert), niece Laurie Van de Yssel (Fred) and their children Jennifer and Benjamin, and nephew David Hall (Lisa) and their son Liam, and many friends and associates. After retiring from business Betsy took up volunteer work. She will be remembered by many in the Women's Canadian Club of Montreal and the National Association of Canadian Clubs where she held several offices. Betsy also volunteered at her Parish Church of St. Matthew's where she held several positions including that of Volunteer Treasurer for a period of more than ten years. Her quiet counsel and loyal support will be sorely missed by many. Special thanks to friends and the staff at Le Vivalis for their loving care over the years. The family will receive condolences at Kane and Fetterly Funeral Home, 5301 Decarie Blvd. (corner Isabella), on June 7 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., followed at 2:00 p.m. by a Celebration of her Life in the Chapel. Dispersal of her ashes will take place at Lac Long, Eastman, Quebec at a later date.
