1930 - 2013
Passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 12th, 2013 in Hawkesbury, Ontario at the age of 82. Predeceased by his wife Barbara, he will be dearly missed by his daughters Susan (Jamie Zeeman), Debbie (Brad Smitheman) and Nancy (Ralph Odoerfer), his grandchildren Kristina (Adam Lefebvre), Christopher, Michael, Wesley, Thomas and Alexander and his great granddaughter Sophie. Visitation will take place at Rideau Funeral Home, 4275 boul. des Sources, Dollard-des-Ormeaux, 514-685-3344 on Wednesday, May 15 from 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home Chapel on Thursday, May 16 at 10 a.m. followed by a reception. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.

OH DEAR. My deepest sympathy to his family. Norm was like a brother to me. He lived with my family a number of years while in Montreal (NDG) We grew up together & tried to keep in touch over the years. When we did talk it was just like yesterday we were still together everyday. I feel so sad that I am just finding out now of Norm's passing. You will never be forgotten Norm & I keep our good old memories forever.

So sorry for your loss. Fond memories of running through backyards from house to house in DDO. Our parents always had lots of laughs together. In later years, I remember golfing in Hawkesbury and looking up wondering if it was your Dad I saw flying over.
I hope you find comfort in the fond memories.

Norm will most definitely be missed by all the great friends he had made over the years via Amateur Radio.
Also by those of us that had the privilege of meeting with him and appreciating his obvious dedication to his family and friends.
Our thoughts are with his wonderful family and it is our sincere hope that you all regain normality in your life style in the very near future.
