Oh, such sad news about our beautiful friend, Lysanne. She was so intelligent and talented...it really is not fair that this happened.
I first met Lysanne in Sydney, Australia when she was showing her film there. I was so impressed with how courageus she was.
I visited her last April in Montréal. It was such a joy to spend time with her, such refreshing intelligence !
My heartfelt condolences to her friends and family, especially Zak.

Dear, you're gone. I can't believe. I remember like yesterday. The nights at bars in Schoeneberg and the mornings at the swimming hall. The work for the TV, in order to get money for the real things. But always done with accuracy. I remember your coat and the boots in cold Berlin winter. And your laughter. That made me forget the seasons.I remember.
From time to time I am in the street where you once used to live. close to your house is now an Israeli bakery. you would have enjoyed it. next time I order a piece of cake for you.

So sad that this brave and engaging spirit of life, Lysanne Thibodeau has passed on from this earthly planet. She was strong and kind, perceptive and curious, may she inspire the rest of us to be the same. I can only hope that her passage and arrival beyond into other worlds is in peace and love. She will be missed, her inspiration will live on. Good bye Lysanne, much love, Jayce

Very sad to hear that you passed away. I'll always remember Berlin 1984 when I was making this Underground Overground-stuff and we were taking some pics for the book. Meeting you was a great pleasure. R.I.P.

Hi Sylvie, Axel and Zakari,
I am so sad to hear about Lysanne. Her passing so young is a lousy lesson in the unfairness of life. I loved her from my youth and missed her over the years. I know your loss is intense and hope you can take some comfort in the many people who loved her and her smiling energy. I'm so sorry to you all.
