Peacefully in hospital, surrounded by family, on November 14, 2011 at the age of 88. Beloved husband of the late Jozefa. Dear father of Walter (Wendy Gilmore), Maria, Edward (Cathy), Krystyna (Ken Handy). Dearest grandfather of Ryan Bates, Matthew Parij, Courtney and Jared Hyland. Great grandfather of Liam and Landon Hyland. Survived by his sister Aleksandra Jablonski. Dearly missed by his extended family and friends. Member of SPK and Ognisko. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at the Ottawa Hospital - General Campus for their compassion and care.
Friends may pay respects at the Kelly Funeral Home, 585 Somerset Street (Centretown) Thursday, November 17, 2011 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. with family prayers at 8 p.m. Funeral Friday to St. Hyacinth's Church (LeBreton and Louisa) for Mass of Christian Funeral at 11:00 a.m. Interment Hope Cemetery.
