JAMES, Leonard V.
July 1, 1923 - June 21, 2013
Peacefully passed away at the Valley Stream Manor on June 21st. Born in Montreal and raised in Greenfield Park, Quebec. Len was predeceased by his parents Leonard Sr. and Emma (nee Clarke), his loving wife Evelyn (nee Strathdee) and his son Alan. Len served in the Royal Canadian Navy during WWII as a signaler. He had a long and illustrious career with FLYGT Canada. Upon retirement Len and Evelyn resided in Sandhurst Shores where they enjoyed their family and friends. Many of his attributes included his adventure of boating, flying, dancing, water-skiing, downhill skiing and he had a super sense of humour. Leonard is survived by his sister Marion Campeau and daughter Heather McKeown (Rick); stepdaughters Maureen Sherman (Lee), Pam Norris (the late Kim); Grandchildren; Selena James, Holly McKeown (Vernon), David McKeown (Emily), Vanessa Cornish (Bryn), Corey Norris (Laura), Jodi Norris (John Edwards); Great-grandchildren; Shea Hamel, Leilah James, Amelia and Walker Cornish. The family wishes to thank the caring staff of the Valley Stream Manor and Dr. F. Pietrobon for all their support. A private family burial will be held in late July.
